Gomez Goes the Distance at Somesville 20 Miler

Super Spud Robert Gomez battled some chilly temps to finish second in the 2nd Annual Somesville 20 Miler. Gomez took the run steady and comfortable and finished in a time 2:12:16, an average pace of 6:37 per mile. Gomez looks to continue his focus on the longer distances for the next couple months while getting ready for the 112th Boston Marathon on April 21st.

Spuds and Crows Team Up For Spirit of the Marathon Movie Relay

On January 24th members of the Crow Athletics Running Club based on Mount Desert Island, Maine teamed up with Spuds Scotty Dorrity, Robert Gomez, Paul Fagan and Jeffrey Sprague to complete a day long, 130 mile relay across the coast of Maine for the "one night only" viewing of the movie "Spirit of the Marathon". The relay legs varied in distance from 11 to 24 miles and traveled from the Criterion Theatre in downtown Bar Harbor to the Regal Cinema in Brunswick.
