Spuds Compete at Sea Dogs 5k

The Spudland Racers more than held their own at what might be Maine's most competitive 5k of the year on Sunday. The Spuds joined nearly 2,000 others to take on the streets of Portland on a beautiful May morning. PJ Gorneault took off with the leaders and finished 7th Overall in 15:35 but only four seconds from 4th. The newest Spudland addition Ryan Prescott finished 9th Overall in 16:10 and Jeffrey Sprague rounded out the top 10 in a time of 16:16. Nick Scott finished 15th in a time of 16:44 and Robert Gomez continued to work himself back in shape with an impressive 16:55 finish. The top three Spudland finishers counted towards the USATF scoring, finishing with a combined time of 48:01, an average finish of 16:00.18. Excellent job Spuds!

St. Joseph's Standout Newest Member of Spudland Racers

Ryan Prescott, a student studying at St. Joseph's College of Maine is the newest member of the Spudland Racers Running Club. Prescott is a standout on the Monks Cross Country team and a Conference Runner of the Year. The Spuds are happy to have him on board as they look to compete with the states best in the Maine USATF Grand Prix this summer.
